Privacy Policy
UPDATE:
I no longer maintain a Reader Group or do Facebook Promotions with the Tonya Macalino pen name.
I no longer maintain a Reader Group or do Facebook Promotions with the Tonya Macalino pen name.
I'll keep this simple as I don't think it's fair to make a privacy policy illegible:
1) I don't sell the email addresses of my Reader Group. This is a private group, existing solely to celebrate the love of reading, the fascination of history and culture, and to support future writing/research projects.
2) I do send my Reader Group sequences of emails regarding the upcoming launch of a book or a book launch party. I also send the occasional catch up email.
3) Sometimes I load my Reader Group list to Facebook to offer announcements that way. Only once every couple of years, though, so if you are hoping to see those sorts of announcements, it is better to like my Facebook author page.
4) I do have a Facebook pixel installed on my website. Facebook uses it to figure out who to send my Facebook posts to with the idea that people who visit my website are interested in my work. Fingers crossed!
5) Member benefits such as free books are specifically benefits for actual members. If you don't want to receive emails, I understand, but as of right now there is no other way for you to participate in the group.
6) There is an unsubscribe link at the bottom of every email. If you would like to stop receiving emails, it is quick and easy!
7) If you need to be completely deleted, email me and I will pass that information along to ConvertKit. That is currently a manual process. It will also erase from their database the note that you wish to be left alone, so it is usually better to unsubscribe.
8) Your email address is stored at MailerLite. I also keep backups on my computer for one year.
If there is anything else you would like to know about how your information is used and stored by this technologically impaired writer, please let me know, but hopefully this about covers it!
